My story
I draw inspiration from the intricate designs found in nature and the rich textures that surround us in everyday life. My jewelry creations are crafted using a variety of materials, including sterling silver, brass, copper, stoneware, and porcelain clay. The majority of my designs feature earrings, necklaces, pendants, and bracelets.
Metal Jewelry: My metal jewelry pieces are made from sterling silver, copper, and brass. These metals are forged using cold hammering techniques or embossed with intricate patterns using my jewelry mill. Each piece is then bent or formed into unique, one-of-a-kind designs. Some pieces are soldered, while others are adorned with hand-selected glass or stone beads, adding a touch of elegance and individuality to each creation.
Ceramic Designs: My ceramic designs include pendants and earrings crafted from traditional stoneware or porcelain clay, which is fired to cone 5 or 6. The clay is stamp-pressed using my own designs or objects found in nature, resulting in beautiful, textured pieces. My background in printmaking and ceramics has greatly influenced my approach to jewelry design, allowing me to blend different techniques and materials seamlessly.
Artist & Art Educator: Working as an artist and art educator has been an incredibly fulfilling journey. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with others, which is why I also teach jewelry workshops. These workshops provide an opportunity for participants to explore their creativity, learn new techniques, and create their own unique pieces of jewelry. It is a joy to see my students' excitement and satisfaction as they bring their artistic visions to life.
